Possibly the most time-consuming aspect of your new website. It requires additional time to set up and test and you need to have proper, robust hosting.
Consider the following e-commerce aspects:

  • Product listings: including detailed product descriptions, product images, and related products, SKU and dimensions where applicable.
  • Shipping: courier costs and options.
  • Payment Gateway: you need to take payment online. The most popular would be Payfast and YOCO. An account with one of these service providers is required.
  • Customer messages: Craft friendly and relevant email messages to your customers, keeping them informed about their order progress.
  • Returns Policy: A general shopping policy, privacy policy and returns policy is required. I can provide basic examples, but I’m no legal expert. You would probably want someone from the legal profession to draft these.
  • Shop Training: Shop training will be provided. Support is also provided.
  • Customisation: Any customisation(s) beyond the norm, will most likely incur additional costs. Special product features, checkout changes, etc. This will have to be discussed as per your requirements.
  • Market Your Online Store: Develop a marketing strategy to attract customers. Develop a marketing strategy to attract customers.
